Anyway…Arizona was beautiful as usual. But after being in there for a few days…I am ready for retirement!!! The Art/Craft show was on Sunday…10 am…which meant we needed to be there around 7:30 to set up!! It took only about an hour to set it up but everything looked great! I got a lot of really nice compliments on my work, and I sold a few things as well! Overall, it was a great experience…definitely one that I will learn from, for sure! I just wish my Dad could have been there to see it…even though I know he was there in spirit, I wish he was REALLY there!
Below is a photo from 2005 during my opening night when I exhibited my work for College…it’s so funny to look at this picture because I look so much like both of my parents…like they were morphed together and I was the result…well I guess that’s what really happened…didn’t it?
On a side note: Tomorrow is my Daddy’s birthday. He would have been 65. It would have been nice if he could have enjoyed his retirement with Mommy…it’s just a shame that things happen in life and there’s no real reason why! I just miss him so much. He was my best friend, and my inspiration. My mom always tells me, “you are you father’s daughter!” and that means a lot to me…it means that a part of him is still here, within me…always. Happy Birthday Daddy!!!! I love you.
My Dad…the photographer!
